Derma PRP

The withdrawn blood is centrifuged so as the platelet-rich plasma (PRP) is isolated and then injected back into the client to rejuvenate the skin.

What part of the face can be treated?

The entire face itself can benefit from PRP. For example, PRP works great in removing the wrinkles and frown lines on the forehead. On the cheeks, it can restore lost volume and make the cheeks for plump. Moreover, it can also help with filling sunken eye sockets.

Is it effective in treating wrinkles?

Yes, quite often it is used as an independent product to treat wrinkles. It can also be used in combination with surgical procedures to provide an even better result. Procedures such as facelift or neck lift surgery can remove wrinkles, tighten the skin while PRP builds up collagen in the area.

What side effects does PRP have?

Like with all injectable fillers, PRP has the possibility of having mild swelling, bruising, itching, and irritation. A person may have one or all these side effects.

Nevertheless, keeping in mind that PRP procedures are still relatively new, there may be side effects which are long term that we are still unaware of.

How long does PRP’s effects last?

There is no anti-ageing treatment available that is permanent. Each treatment requires maintenance and PRP is no different. It is estimated that PRP’s effects can last anywhere from nine months to two years. After that, the effects will begin to fade, and a follow-up treatment will be required.

Profhilo® is an exclusive skin remodelling treatment designed for individuals with ageing skin that is lacking volume and elasticity. By stimulating the production of collagen and elastin through the slow release of Hyaluronic Acid (HA), Profhilo® significantly improves the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and helps to increase hydration and firmness across the face.

1 treatment: £275

2 treatments: £495

Each treatment as 2mil of product.

How does Profhilo® work?

Profhilo® has been specially formulated to contain a unique level of Hyaluronic Acid (a naturally occurring substance found in our bodies that is responsible for maintaining moisture within our skin), which helps to encourage the production of collagen and elastin across the skin. Due to the way Profhilo® has been made, it acts as a hydrator rather than a filler and is therefore fantastic for those with tired, dull and ageing skin as it provides overall more plump and luminous skin.

The substance is injected just below the skin’s surface in just 2 sessions over a period of 4 weeks and disperses quickly across the skin to instantly boost hydration, consequently smoothing fine lines and wrinkles, resulting in improved skin texture.

Is Profhilo® better than fillers?

Profhilo® is not better than fillers, and vice versa.

Each of these treatment options provide different approaches, so there will be one treatment that works best for your skin and your desired outcomes. As outlined above, both treatments have different benefits and target different areas, therefore it is dependent on your individual desires as to which treatment would be best for you. Generally, if you would like to achieve a more holistic result that can be seen across your face, Profhilo® is the best treatment for you. However, if you would rather make small changes to certain areas of your face such as your cheeks, dermal fillers are more suitable for you.

How long does Profhilo® last?

The results from Profhilo® treatments will most often last for up to six months, but results can differ from person to person.

Profhilo recommends 2 treatments 4 weeks apart.

Relaxing the appearance of lines and wrinkles

When the muscles in our face move, a message is sent from the brain via nerves to the muscles, instructing them to contract. Anti-wrinkle injectables are a natural protein that works by interrupting this process, leaving those muscles unable to crease the skin, relaxing the appearance of lines and wrinkles.

Are anti-wrinkle injectables safe?

When you concentrate, squint or frown, the muscles in your face contract. After years of frequent contraction combined with other environmental and lifestyle factors, lines and wrinkles will form and eventually become permanent. Anti-wrinkle injectables are a natural protein that works by interrupting the process of messages being sent from the brain via nerves to the muscles.

How does it work?

Anti-wrinkle injectables are made from a drug made called Botulinum Toxin which has been FDA approved and used for both medical and cosmetic purposes for over 20 years with no known adverse effects. Like most cosmetic treatments, side effects can occur, some clients report mild bruising whilst very occasionally- approximately 1-3% – experience a ‘droopy eyelid’ both however can be corrected or will fade in time. To reduce the risk of complications it is important that anti-wrinkle injectables are administered by highly qualified practitioners in a safe and medical environment.

Will I be able to move my face?

Of course! The ‘frozen’ look many of us associate with anti-wrinkle injectables is only caused when too much toxin is administered into one area of the skin. Practitioners target small specific muscles that are responsible for unwanted lines and wrinkles only. This means normal facial expressions such as smiling, frowning or looking surprised will be unaffected.

During your consultation your practitioner will talk you through how the treatment can be used for subtle effects, so no one need know your secret.

Do anti-wrinkle injectables really prevent aging?

It has been reported that, if used regularly, antiwrinkle injectables can delay and prevent the signs of ageing. As we know facial movement such as squinting, and frowning can cause lines and wrinkles. Botulinum toxin restricts facial muscle movement which means signs of ageing can be prevented.

Helps reduce excessive sweating.

The hyperhidrosis treatment consists of a series of small injections in the affected area of Botulinum Toxin. This helps reduce excessive sweating by temporarily blocking the chemical signals from the nerves that stimulate the sweat gland.

PDO threads – facelift

Using threads to lift the muscle and firm the face A procedure which involves elevating different parts of the face using special threads without having to make surgical incisions as with a classic facelift.

Threads are introduced using a cannula or micro-needle in the required area.

Treatment: £7.50 per thread

Depending on the area being treated, approximately 20-25 threads used in one treatment.

Procedure time: 45 – 60 minutes
Duration of results: 2 – 3 years
Anaesthetic: Local Anaesthetic
Downtime: Minimal
Results seen in: 45 – 60 minutes
Back to work: Immediate

Potential side effects

Minor complications may include temporary swelling and bruising, slight tightness and pulsing sensation.

Which areas are most effectively treated?

For the face, these would be lifting of the eyebrows, nasolabial folds, marionette lines, cheeks, jawline and double chins.

When do you see the results?

There can be an immediate improvement seen after treatments with a visible lift in the areas treated. This will improve over a period of 2-6 months as new collagen grows between the threads and gives further lift and tightening to the skin. The PDO Threads gradually dissolve over about 6 months, but the resulting lift remains.

How long do the results last for?

This varies depending on the patient’s age at the time of treatment, the quality of the skin, degree of sagging and the number of threads used. However, studies have shown that results can last between 2-3 years.

Are there any side effects?

Thread lifting is a very safe procedure and complications are extremely rare. Minor complications may include temporary swelling and bruising. Clients may feel slight tightness or a pulling sensation following the treatment, but this subsides over a few weeks.
